Description
Agyr-ava and Haitarma
Agyr-ava in a literal translation is a heavy melody. It is a slow, graceful Crimeantatar dance. The measure is usually 4/4 + 5/4 or, more seldom, 5/4 + 4/4. While performing this music a little rubato is characteristic. As a rule this dance is performed in a pair with Haitarma.
Haitarma is the most popular traditional Crimeantatar dance with an obligatory rhythm 7/8 (4/8 + 3/8). It is performed in a fast tempo Allegro. One should pay attention to the last three eights in a bar, they shouldn’t be turned into a triplet!
